Tube tyres, with their rubber tubes filled with air between the tyre and the rim, were the backbone of transportation for decades. Fast forward today, and tubeless tyres have taken the spotlight. Eliminating the chunky rubber tube, the tyre itself seals against the rim, trapping air. Tubeless tyres use a sealant, which is liquid latex introduced through the valve to plug small holes that might otherwise cause a flat.
